"The Art of Tint" Installing window film since 1992
Tom Kovach, born and raised in Utica, NY has been installing fine window films for over 20 years.
After 3 years of college while working for his parents in the family owned print shop, Tom's first experience with window film came about. Upon picking up his 1984 Saab 900 from the local tint shop, he noticed something a bit off with his new window film. It seems the installer had tinted his drivers roll down window in 2 pieces, a square and a triangle with unsightly seams and creases. Rather than bringing it back he decided to try to retint the window himself. The rest is history.
After Months of trial and error, learning the craft of tinting on his own without training, he practiced on all his families and friends cars while still working at the family print shop "Graphics of Utica" One afternoon a customer came in the print shop and asked Tom for some business cards for his new auto accessories store. Joe Belmont, the owner of Car Accessories was excited to learn that Tom was an aspiring tinter.
